Meet the Teacher!
Hi! My name is Ms. Mott and I am very excited to be teaching your child this year! I was raised in Orange, Texas and graduated from West Orange-Stark High School! I went to college at Lamar Orange, and Lamar University in Beaumont where I received my Associate of Science in Academic Studies in Elementary Education and my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am certified to teach in the state of Texas grades Pre-K – 6th grades. I have taught 3rd grade previously for 6 years and Kindergarten for 6 years. I have a 19 year old son and a 16 year old son.
Philosophy of Education
Reading is my favorite subject and I look forward to helping your child become a great scholar who loves to read. I like to use a variety of teaching methods to reach each individual learner. Not only is teaching academics important, I also believe it is necessary to educate my students on proper social skills. Although not all children learn at the same pace or in the same style, I believe all children can learn, and it is my job to find what works best for each individual student.
