Sandra Meche, Dyslexia Specialist

I'm looking forward to a great school year. My name is Mrs. Meche and I provide Dyslexia Services for our campus. I have 24 years of teaching experience and I have been the Dyslexia Specialist for the elementary campus for 4 years. Students are given their dyslexia lessons in a pull-out setting.

 

I provide an after-school Reading Club two days a week for my dyslexic students. It is from 2:30 - 4:00. I will be sending home consent forms the first part of October with more information on how to sign your child up. This has been a very successful program and offers our students some additional support in working on their reading skills. I will provide snacks and Capri Suns for all the students. I also am here at school every day before the students get here and my 3rd-5th grade students may come to my room from 6:50-7:20 for extra help in reading or spelling during that time. 

 

Just to let you know a little about me...I have three children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. My hobbies are reading and quilting. I also love to watch old movies. As I stated above, I have been teaching for 24 years. I started at Anderson Elementary in 1997 and then we merged to become WOSE. I love what I do and cherish the time I have had here in the district with ALL my students!
